The core standards of NECPA Accreditation center on values for the well-being and optimal development of children. NECPA is not bound by strictures of a tightly regulated national childcare accreditation council. Rather than being determined by a government-based national childcare accreditation council, our accreditation standards are formed by the NAEYC and National Health and Safety Performance Standards. No governmental national childcare accreditation council manages NECPA or its affiliates.
NECPA focuses on best practices in education and upholds key educational values that any state or national childcare accreditation council or association would embrace for an assessment plan, but we follow no governmental national childcare accreditation council. Rather than a government administered national childcare accreditation council, the Council and our Board of Directors, with vast experience in childhood education, guide our decisions. The accreditation process progresses with no methods of a government-based national childcare accreditation council but through developmentally appropriate practices in the field of early learning and care.
The values of any legitimate national childcare accreditation council are ensconced in our approach to accreditation, and our program works from a built-in structure of integrity. Instead of having to follow a government-regulated national childcare accreditation council or organization, we use a structured but innovative framework of assessment. Using a structure that a creditable state or national childcare accreditation council would establish, our governing bodies work with NECPA to implement an optimal accreditation system. No governmental national childcare accreditation council is involved in evaluating your educational center's operations. Instead of a governmental national childcare accreditation council, the NECPA's own NAC is involved in assessing. We have current research in education and qualified professionals rather than a government-based national childcare accreditation council overseeing your organization and work.
Family integration, health and safety practices, and quality curriculum are features that any state or national childcare accreditation council should mandate for assessment. Following a statistical predictor system, NECPA uses no government-based national childcare council but implements key concept areas of the APHA/AAP nationally recognized quality standards for NECPA Accreditation.
