National Association for the Education of Young Children

National Association for the Education of Young Children

NECPA promotes the highest standards in early childhood education, which is a key priority of the accreditation process of the National Association for the Education of Young Children also. Publications and practices of the National Association for the Education of Young Children are resources from which research develops national standards. Our process is similar to that of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.  Our primary goal is to foster best practices in early childhood education.  Our standards are geared toward the safety and well-being of young children, comparable to those referenced in publications of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

According to the National Association for the Education of Young Children, early learning standards are "a valuable part of a comprehensive, high-quality system of services for young children." NECPA has integrated such standards into a comprehensive system just as the National Association for the Education of Young Children model.

Early childhood learning must accommodate a wide scope of learning opportunities, as the National Association for the Education of Young Children acknowledges, and meeting diverse needs is crucial. As a part of its school readiness policy, the National Association for the Education of Young Children emphasizes the need for schools to respond to a diverse range in aptitudes. This requirement of the National Association for the Education of Young Children is also one that NECPA speaks to it's principles.

Further, our accreditation process is an inclusive one, as recommended by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. There are various stakeholders in the development of young children, as the National Association for the Education of Young Children also embraces as a key consideration; therefore, like the National Association for the Education of Young Children, NECPA encourages collaboration among family members, community members, and school faculty.
